The Journey Behind Vine Nirvana
In 2019, while immersed in the WSET Diploma program, founder Gwendolyne Willis began attending international trade shows and building meaningful relationships with wineries across Europe. During this time, she started sourcing wines for an importer supplying the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), a relationship she continues to maintain today. Gwendolyne’s dedication to wine education and global exploration continues to shape the Vine Nirvana experience, which includes curated wine tastings and luxury wine tours. She became a Sommelier through the UNLV Sommelier Academy, achieved WSET Advanced with Merit, earned the Spanish Wine Scholar certification through the Wine Scholar Guild, and is currently pursuing the Italian Wine Scholar certification. Each year, she attends Barcelona Wine Week and travels throughout Europe to connect with vineyards and winemakers whose sustainable wines are featured in Vine Nirvana experiences.
